Yi Qu

Postgraduate from the East 15 Acting School Theatre Director MA.
Coming from an artistic family, he has studied traditional Chinese opera since childhood, and his artistic creations are heavily influenced by traditional Chinese opera, integrating concepts such as "Chinese aesthetics" and "Leaving space" into his writing and directing styles.
He has a personal interest in gaming and movies, excelling in narrative works. His creations often focus on experimental video and immersive theatre. He is skilled in presenting dramatic conflicts from multiple perspectives and angles.
In 2020, he founded the theatre label "One Shot", creating over ten theatrical works and performing nearly a hundred shows on tour in China.
Invited to participate in the Edinburgh Festival, Avignon Theatre Festival and several European residency projects.
